Hong Kong Foods
Warning: some of the photos posted here are a little more "graphic" than the usual.
The good news: it is still not possible to transmit smell via a blog. You'll appreciate this when you see some of these photos.
We strolled along a little street market in Mongkok our first day in Hong Kong. It started off as interesting and unusual, but soon became quickly bizarre, frightening, and nearly nauseating. Below is just a few photos from our stroll.
Seafood and meats of every kind were on display.
The odor of rotting fish and fermenting vegetables was intense.
Interesting vegetables were everywhere, including some cucumber (or zuchini?) or unusual size.
