S'mores!
S'mores? At home?! Why, yes! And it's so simple.
A most amazing friend sent me a package from my favorite chocolatier, Recchiuti (don't ask me to say it). They make the most divine and exotic little truffles available at the Ferry Buildling in SF. Yet, I had no idea they had their own take on the American classic: S'mores! What a fabulous thing to find out!
Of course, the timing was also lovely as we had dined lightly and rather healthily at the Cerrito cinema on popcorn and fresh veggies for dinner. We followed the instructions, although the package said it made 4 s'mores, we only used less than half the ingredients and made 4 open-face s'mores.
Which means we can have s'mores again! And next time we may try roasting the marshmellows over a fire log in the fire place for a more traditional and possibly slightly less messy s'more. My word, they were lovely. Soooo gooooooey and good!
Thanks, Reenie!
