Vegetable Stir-fry (+Japanese Treat)


A quick stir fry of baby bok choi, summer squash, green onions, almonds and cashews served over a bed of rice was so darn healthy we just had to break out one of the last Japanese treats - the Chocolate Potato Chips. Yes! They are real! And yes, they are amazing...


Royce Chocolate Potato Chips - beautifully packaged and I suspect dripping in MSG due to the complete inability to stop eating them until they were all gone. (Luckily, all the packaging aside from the name was in Japanese so I could not confirm that an entire box was not a single serving. And maybe there was no MSG or fat... who can say?) The chocolate was very soft - so soft that you couldn't really hold onto the chip because it melted on your fingers instantaneously. So I had to pick one up quickly, by the bottom if possible as only one side and the edges were coated in the chocolate, and pop the entire thing into my mouth. Heavenly. The chocolate was not so strong as to overpower the potato chip flavor and vice versa. Surprisingly delicious!
