La Leche

One night in Puerto Vallarta, we went to a new restaurant named La Leche. Everything inside was white. Everything. Except the floor, which was black. The waiters all wore white. It was a little off-putting in some ways. Also, it was around 8pm and the place was nearly empty. But the menu was intriguing.

The menu was on a chalk board. I apologize for the lousy photos, which were taken with the iPhone, which is really not a great camera and not a great phone, but otherwise so, so very great! But I digress. The menu, if you can read it, which I suspect you cannot, was very unusual. There was only a single menu for English speakers and Spanish speakers alike. The waiter came to explain the menu, which included salad with popcorn. We were not entirely sure if popcorn meant popcorn, but then what else could it mean?

We ordered the tuna sashim and the asparagus as starters.

Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! For our main dishes, I ordered the fish with shrimp and Dave ordered some kind of shrimp dish (no photo), too. I think I won, because this was absolutely amazing. The very large shrimp were some of the best shrimp we have ever had.
