Last Week's Meals
Okay, the computer is back, but I was finally getting use to a life without it. So I'm a bit slow to get back to the blogging. But rest assured, we are still eating!
Here are some of the things we cooked last week.
A made-up jambalaya-type dish with farro, lentils, carrots, onions, chicken thighs, tomatoes, and I forget what else.
A few days later we enjoyed a fresh and rather labor-intensive salad with lettuce, avocado, grapefruit sections (peeled!), home-made croutons, tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, and green onion.
And the most ambitious meal of the week: Palak Paneer! We made this with both spinach and mustard greens, because we had both! I bought the paneer at an Asian market nearby and we fried it in a little olive oil. I also bought some Naan-like bread, as the last time we tried to make Naan it didn't go very well (bad flour - looked okay and consistency was fine, but tasted awful).
