when the propane runs out

Well, we wanted to grill out. Some fish, some asparagus - always so good on the grill - and maybe something else. Oh, yes, that's right, we still have beets. Lots and lots of beets.

So we roasted some beets on the grill. Nice slow roasting. Took a little while.

And so, when the salmon went on, and the asparagus and onions... well, suddenly the grill was not so hot any more. Hrm. So Dave quickly brought everything inside, turned on the broiler and continued "grilling" on the grill pan under the broiler. Came out okay, but maybe not quite perfect.
And what happened to those darn beets? Well, we put them in a salad with goat cheese (highly recommend goat cheese & beets) and pumpkin seeds. Delicious! Have a look:
