dinner at the pub

Dave says I have to post this pic, even though there's no dinner to be seen it in and it's taken with my lousy camera phone.
This is of course what's left at the end of dinner at "The Pub". Now, when we say "The Pub" we do not mean The Pub, which is a bar in Albany on Solano Avenue. And no offense meant to The Pub, but it does not serve food. When we say "The Pub" we mean our pub - the Kensington Pub, or officially the Kensington Circus Pub (although i have yet to see an elephant or clown there), or, kindly referred to by our neighbors as "the kid pub" - it's a family establishment. No, really, it is.

Anyway, we had our usual: a plate of fish & chips and the shepherd's pie. Wonderful English favorites with a slight California twist. Some of the best comfort food I know. Mmmm...
